Gum Ball Machine. Remember waiting to see what color would roll out? By using cut-offs from the workshop you can make your own gumball dispenser, and save your coins. It’s designed for round balls about 3/4” in diameter. As most gum balls are not perfectly round, there may be the occasional jam, but a pinball style ‘tilt’ will get the rewards flowing again. Most of the smaller parts of the unit are odd sizes and shaped from larger stock. For the components that need to be shaped, it’s easiest to clamp longer lengths to the table while shaping, then cut to length. You will also need 1/4” dowels, 1/4” dowel centers and assorted screws. Suggested power tools: Table saw, router, jig saw/bandsaw, drill.
